According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, in 2019 Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey largely banned political advertisements. After saying his determination, Dorsey stated: “We believe political message reach should be earned, not bought.”

There have been some exceptions for advertisements associated to voter registration and at the moment political promoting contributed to a small portion of Twitter’s total promoting income.
