Pakistan: Suicide bombing at mosque in Peshawar during afternoon prayers injures over 90, casualties feared

Peshawar: Over 90 folks have been injured after a suicide attacker exploded himself at a busy mosque in Peshawar Police Lines space of Pakistan on Monday. The blast was reported during the Zuhr or afternoon prayers.

A report by GeoTV quoted safety officers saying that the suicide attacker was current in the entrance row during the Zuhr prayers when he exploded himself.

As per DaybreakNewsTV report, the explosion came about round 1:40 pm on Monday.

One aspect of the mosque collapsed as a result of influence of the explosion. Police say that a number of folks had been believed to be below it.

The space has been cordoned off and emergency has been imposed in the locality in addition to hospital in Peshawar the place the wounded are being handled.

Injured are being shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. A spokesman of the hospital, Mohammad Asim, mentioned that they had acquired 90 injured folks.

Sources in the hospital mentioned that 13 of these injured had been in a important situation.

Reports quoted police officers at the spot saying that they had been figuring out the character of the blast. “Deaths were feared,” they added.
