Blast at mosque in Pakistan's Peshawar during afternoon prayers, casualties feared

Peshawar: A blast has been reported in a mosque positioned in Peshawar Police Lines space of Pakistan on Monday during the Zuhr or afternoon prayers. Several individuals have been injured and casualties are feared.

One aspect of the mosque collapsed as a result of influence of the explosion.

The space has been cordoned off and emergency has been imposed in the locality.

Reports quoted police officers at the spot saying that they had been figuring out the character of the blast.

“Deaths were feared,” they added.

A report by information company Reuters quoted a hospital spokesperson saying that round 70 individuals have been injured in the explosion. “Some of them are critical,” the officers mentioned.
