Jaipur (Agency). “Sardar Patel Memorial Sports Meet 2023” will be organized by Union Football club Pratishtha Sports School. This will be flag off under the guidance of Chief Patron Princess Diya Kumari. More than 90 teams from across the country in football, kabaddi, weightlifting/powerlifting are participating in this competition. This competition will run from 16 October to 18 October from 7 am to 6 pm.
This information was shared by club coordinator Abhinav Swami. In converstion with united bulletin, he told that Union Football Club has been organizing this competition from 1958 to 1969, in which national and international teams used to participate and the name of Jaipur had become known as Union Football Club all over India, but due to many adverse circumstances. And due to government negligence and illegal religious encroachment, this competition was closed for the last 50 years.
But the efforts of club secretary Mahipal Swamy assured its start again from 2017 and today it has included Kabaddi and weightlifting/powerlifting along with football. This event will be inaugurated on October 16 at 9 am, in which boys and girls from different states will participate.
