Surajpur: Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh launched the Pulse Polio campaign by giving two drops of pulse polio dose to the children of 0 to 05 years after reaching the polio booth set up in the Government Primary School, Nawapara. During this, he also administered pulse polio dose to his two daughters Aadya Singh, Akshara Singh. In the district hospital, Dr. RS Singh, CMHO and Dr. Ajay Markam, the nodal officer for vaccination, also administered the pulse polio dose to the children. In the district, 1 lakh 27 thousand 1 hundred 95 children would be given pulse polio. Pulse polio dose was also administered to the children by the councilors.
It may be mentioned that the National Intensive Pulse Polio Campaign 2022 is being organized in the district from February 27, 2022. Under the Pulse Polio campaign, polio medicine will be administered to children in the age group of zero to five years at booths on February 27, 2022 and door-to-door on March 28 and 01, 2022. For pulse polio campaign in the district, about one lakh twenty seven thousand one hundred and ninety five children of age 0 to 5 years will be given polio dose, for which 900 teams and 2325 employees at 725 polio booths will be given polio booth, railway station, Haat Bazaar, Bus You will give two drops of life to the children at places like stands etc. Monitoring team has been constituted for each development blocks for continuous monitoring of pulse polio campaign from district headquarters. The campaign will be continuously monitored by the team by visiting booth label on 27 February 2022 and door to door visit on 28 February and 01 March 2022. Under the supervision of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. RS Singh and Dr. Ajay Markam District Immunization Officer, the district team will visit to make the Pulse Polio campaign successful.
