On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the district administration is taking action in action mode
Surajpur: Orders have been issued by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to take strict action against illegal sand mining today. Taking quick action on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the vehicles carrying illegal mining and transportation have been confiscated by the district administration under the guidance of Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh. While conducting a surprise inspection in the district today, the Mineral Department found 6 sand vehicles and 3 stone loaded vehicles, 1 brick vehicle and Surajpur SDM found 12 vehicles illegally transporting. In the development blocks, Bhaiyathan SDM found 8 tractor sand, 1 tractor brick, 1 407 sand load and Pratappur SDM found 6 tractor sand vehicles illegally transporting. Taking action on these vehicles, they have been confiscated and handed over to the nearest police station.
It is noteworthy that in order to control illegal transportation and mining of minerals in the district, action is being taken against the owners of vehicles involved in illegal transportation and mining. At the same time, continuous action is being taken against illegal excavators, transporters and storages and in future also, under the guidance of the collector, continuous action will be taken against illegal miners, transporters and storages of minerals.
