TMC Leader & Former Rahul Gandhi Fanboy Saket Gokhale Spreads Fake News About The Kashmir Files, Gets Called Out

Serial fake news peddler Saket Gokhale alleged that The Kashmir Files was released in theatres without any cuts, which was called out by director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.

Serial fake news peddler and former Rahul Gandhi fanboy Saket Gokhale did what he does best on Saturday (March 19): spread fake news about the movie The Kashmir Files.

In a Twitter post on Saturday (March 19), he alleged that The Kashmir Files was released in theatres without any cuts. He further alleged that this happened because the director of the movie Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is on the board of the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), commonly known as sensor board.

“Looking through Censor Board/CBFC files, one thing stood out glaringly: Movie #KashmirFiles was granted a CBFC/Censor certificate WITHOUT A SINGLE CUT. This is unprecedented. But then here’s the catch: Vivek Agnihotri, who made the film, is on the board of CBFC,” Gokhale had posted.

Calling him out for his lies, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri said that the movie was passed with seven cuts and A certificate. “Please stop spreading fake news, like always. Take a little break. At least to respect the dead,” Agnihotri posted on Twitter. He attached a news item where it was reported how the CBFC passed the movie after seven cuts.

Gokhale has been caught spreading fake news on multiple occasions. The Organiser has reported about Gokhale’s dubious claims in January this year.

More and more details had emerged in January how Saket Gokhale, a former Rahul Gandhi fanboy who joined Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in August last year, amassed crores from donors on false promises.

For many years now, Gokhale had been collecting funds in the name of filing complaints and RTIs. After exposing how he was misusing the funds, Gokhale said that collected funds were always for his personal use.

Later, he posted on Twitter, “When I first raised funds, the page clearly stated that it was for my sustenance to do my work full-time without a job (not for Rs. 10 RTI expenses). The kind people who supported me are aware of it. You don’t promise “audited accounts” for your monthly life expenses.”

The vested interests have made multiple attempts to stall the production and release of the film The Kashmir Files. Once it failed, the vested interests shifted the goalpost to discrediting the movie.

Speaking about the ‘ecosystem’ response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on March 15 that since The Kashmir Files is bringing out facts about an incident that was suppressed for years by the ‘ecosystem’ the ‘ecosystem’ is running campaigns to discredit the film.

He was addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting in Ambedkar Bhavan in Delhi. “The entire Jamaat, which claims to be the flag-bearer of freedom of expression, has been furious for the last 5-6 days. Instead of reviewing the film on the basis of facts and art, there’s a conspiracy to discredit it,” PM Modi had said.

Many Opposition politicians have also joined the bandwagon of the Leftists and the Islamists in discrediting the movie. Despite all this, the movie is well on course to cross rupees 200 crores collection at Box Office.
