Talking to reporters right here, the previous Jammu and Kashmir chief minister mentioned the funds introduced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is similar as those introduced by the BJP-led authorities over the past eight-nine years.
“Taxes have elevated and cash will not be being spent on welfare schemes or subsidies. Taxes are being amassed for his or her crony capitalists. The taxes imposed ought to have benefitted the individuals, however they’ve damaged their backs.
“Rather than benefitting individuals, welfare schemes and subsidies are being finished away with. The scenario within the nation is such that those that had risen above the poverty line have once more fallen beneath it,” Mufti said.
She alleged that the budget has been prepared for “a few businessmen”. “This will not be for the individuals of India, not for the poor,” the previous Union minister mentioned.
“This is not a people-friendly budget. The taxes have been increased, the GST (Goods and Services Tax) has been increased. Money will be taken out of the pockets of the poor and it will go to big businessmen,” Mufti mentioned.
