Acting on the report, the police rescued the minor after round 5 days and on the premise of the survivor’s assertion, added sections of the SC/ST Act, that coping with rape and provisions of the POCSO Act within the case and arrested the accused, he mentioned.
However, the accused was later granted bail, he added.
The police filed the cost sheet towards the accused beneath sections 363, 366, 376 of the IPC, part of the POCSO Act and part of SC/ST Act in October 2020, the PP mentioned.
